Camping at the foot of Bükk-plateaus!

About Lillafüred, "... as a nice place as Switzerland ..." wrote the famous Hungarian poet Petöfi in his "Travel letters" in 1847. The campsite is amongst spectacular forested hills with white limestone cliffs, at only 330 m above sea-level. The summer weather is fresh, just like in the Alps. This is a very beautiful place, a gateway to the romantic mystiques of Bükk Mountains. | The camping area is quiet, small, only 2000 sqm, flat and grassy, with fine sunshine and pleasant shades. Usually the camp is not over-crowded, you share it with only few guests. There are no wood cabins at the campsite, the guest can sleep in their tents or caravans. Electricity for caravans is available. Lounge, toilet, cold/hot shower, gas cooker, washing-up bowls and a refrigerator are also available, ... but there are many restaurants, and exclusive dining-room in a spectacular hotel at a cosy walking distance away. The village has its own Doctor, pharmacy and grocers. The nearest city, Miskolc, is 10 km away. |

Open from 1st May to 30th September. In 1 to 70 km around the camp there are varieties of spectacular hiking and trekking possibilities and easy tours on forest-path. A beautiful mountain lake (with very cold water) offers fine angling opportunities. A lovely little forest train with spectacular route, conducted tours of speleothemes are available nearby. In the broad proximity large limestone caves, thermal-pools in a fantastic thermal-cave, ... riding, cycling opportunities are also available. Climbing of rocks and cliff faces above the camp, caving in un-teemed caves of various degrees of difficulty and much, much more ... (and pub can also be found :-).
